From Me to You: Third Space

From Me to You is a community built for passionate creatives and creators, a third space where people can connect, create, and feel welcomed regardless of where they are in their journey.

The goal of the film was to capture that feeling honestly: a space without judgement, where people could find their kind of people and feel part of something bigger than themselves.

My friends and I drove 12 hours overnight from Sydney to Melbourne to attend the event at Haiku on the Yarra. Rather than over-directing the piece, I focused on capturing the atmosphere as I experienced it: people meeting, dancing, laughing, creating, and moving through the space with a sense of openness and ease.

The edit was put together during the Melbourne trip, partly from the car, which gave the film a raw and personal energy. I leaned into warm, inviting colour grading and nostalgic music to reflect the feeling of the night: intimate, communal, and full of creative possibility.

The final video reached 13.5K views, a strong result for a young community still building its audience.

More importantly, the film helped translate the spirit of From Me to You into something people could feel through the screen, positioning the event as more than a gathering, but a place for creatives to belong, connect, and be seen.
